The Spirit of Ireland – Live on Stage
Mary Murphy in Concert Accompanied by guitarist Paul Keim
A pre–St. Patrick’s Day celebration of Irish song, story, frivolity and prizes!
Wexford born, Mary Murphy brings Ireland’s musical heartbeat to life. Her music features mostly English language songs, with a sprinkling of Irish language pieces that are timeless and authentic, offering audiences a true sense of inclusion. Mary’s performances include the Irish penny whistle, adding a bright, soulful sparkle. Her music is not drawn from pub songs, but from the kind one might hear in traditional venues and on off-islands, where stories and melodies are woven together.
Mary will be joined by the talented guitarist/producer Paul Keim, whose rhythm and passion bring warmth and energy to the experience. Together, they create an evening of music that feels both intimate and alive with spirit.
Beyond her music, Mary is a novelist, children’s author, and distinctive lecturer on writing and the Irish psyche—always delivered with her trademark light-hearted touch. In 2024, she was honoured with two International Book Awards: Best in Genre and Prolific Author.
Exploring her multi-layered creative world may inspire you to chase your own dreams—or perhaps to take a nap! Either way, cross this artist’s bridge and discover what this small-in-stature but big-in-determination woman is made of.
Mary often recalls the words of W.B. Yeats: “There are no strangers here, only friends you haven’t yet met.”
Pre-purchased - $20.00 tickets are automatically entered into a mid-concert draw for delightful prizes.
“Mary Murphy’s voice is the heart and soul of Ireland.”
Will Millar – Founder of The Irish Rovers
