Brian Wilford worked as a print journalist for 35 years, including as editor of the now-defunct Alberni Valley Times. Actually, most of the newspapers where he worked are now-defunct. Not his fault! He now lives on the other side of The Hump in French Creek. Brian would like to think that his sci-fi satire Rise of the Jellies is inspired by Kurt Vonnegut, Michael Crichton and Christopher Moore (Shakespeare for Squirrels is a favourite) but then, wouldn't we all? Amazingly, a reviewer compared Jellies in tone to Susan Juby’s Woefield Farm series, which made Brian’s head swell as many times as the Grinch’s heart. He’s looking forward to seeing his old stomping grounds and to seeing you in person at Char’s.
